Torontonians love their coffee so it’s no surprise that even international brands are popping up with locations in the city. This includes a well-known Japanese coffee brand, which is making its first Canadian appearance right here in Toronto. They have more than 100 stores around the world, each serving a variety of coffee beans.
% Arabica in Toronto
“We are extremely excited to enter the Canadian market. We have a deep love for Canada and anticipate Canadians will feel the same way about our coffee,” says Kenneth Shoji, founder of % Arabica, in a press release statement.
The store is opening on December 10th at Yorkdale Shopping Centre. Shoji also shared that there are expansion plans in the works already, with a Union Station location in 2023 and a branch on the country’s West Coast as well.
% Arabica first launched in Japan in 2014. Since its inception, they’ve become known for its espresso-based coffees, specialty lattes and drip coffees. Now there are stores in multiple countries across Europe, North America and the Middle East. The Yorkdale location makes it the 136th store.
The brand is offering a special offer to o celebrate the opening of % Arabica in Toronto. The first 100 customers will receive a complimentary canelé pastry and bag of % Arabica coffee when they buy a coffee of any size, while supplies last.
