People have asked where donations to The Bulldog go. Well first, there’s insurance, insurance, insurance and insurance. The Bulldog pays the same rate for its insurance as other Ontario community publications … names you will recognize. That’s how libel plus errors and omission insurance works. It’s not cheap. Not at all.
The Bulldog could have purchased a few very nice cars with the amount of money it has paid in insurance. That’s a lot of kibble.
And of course there is website hosting which continues to become more expensive as this publication grows in readership and requires more resources. Plus there’s equipment and myriad expenses associated with running a business.
So any help you can give would be greatly appreciated. Particularly this year because advertising on which this publication depends has been cut by half due to the recession, Google says. And we can concur with that assessment here. The Bulldog uses Google ads but they far from cover our costs.
So The Bulldog has contributed greatly to this community. We hope you will be generous in contributing to keeping The Bulldog publishing. Thank you in advance.
